When to sow Yacon in the UK
Yacon is frost-tender, so the right week to sow it depends on where in the UK you garden.

Growing notes
Treat exactly like a dahlia: start crown pieces in 15cm pots in April, harden off and plant out late May to early June, then lift in October or November once frost has blackened the top growth. Plants reach 1.5m and need 60-90cm each way, so this is a bed crop rather than a balcony one; store the crowns frost-free to replant.
